Timothy Ottochie

Settlement: Cape Dorset / Kinngait

(1904-1982) — E7-1017

Inuit Artists Print Workbook was married to Auksuali Ottochie, father of Shouyu and Pringwartok Ottochie Ottochie was =very talented and certainly the most consistent stone block cutter of the many talented anprintmakers at Cape Dorset, contributing to every collection from 1961 until his death. for about 15 years or so he also did much of the editioning of the stones he cut, but tapered off in his last years, leaving the printing to others. In those later years, his chop appeared on many prints for which he probably did the cutting and proofing, but did not print the editions. (c) ACN 2004
