She moved to Cape Dorset around 1966 when her second husband Samualie, grew ill. She is one of a family of artists. Her sisters Tye and Anna, as well as her daughter Eliyacota, have contributed many drawings to the Cape Dorset collection. At first Keeleemeeoomee found drawing difficult and gave it up several times, but because of the success and encouragement of her daughter she persevered. She is modest about her efforts, preferring the work of her daughter and other members of the community. Keeleemeeoomee is well known for her strong sense of design and her infatuation with birds. --------------------
