Mary Pitseolak

Mary's father was the historian, photographer and artist Peter Pitseolak and her mother was graphic artist Aggeok Pitseolak. Her sisters Oodlooriak Manning, and Quyuq Ottokie were both graphic artists in the early 1960s.
Mary's prints were included in the Annual Cape Dorset Print Collection in both 1961 and 1963. She has been exhibited in Canada and internationally in Europe and the United States. She has been collected by various institutions such as the Museum of Anthropology, Vancouver, the Canadian Museum of Civilization in Gatineau, the Fine Arts Museums of San Fransisco, the Winnipeg Art Gallery, and others.
She now lives in Iqaluit.
