Inuit Artists Print Workbook son of Niviaksiak (Niviaksie) and Kunu, brother of Pitseolak Niviaqsi was the principal renderer (i.e., traced the drawing on to the plate or stone when an artist did not work directly on the plate) for most of the early litho collections. he is credited with the rendering for only 5 prints in 1975 and 1976 on the worksheets, but he probably did most of the tracings for those prints which were taken were taken directly from drawings (personal comm. Wallace Brannen, 11/87). in the past few years, Qiatsuq has become active in areas other than lithography. he is currently cutting stones and printing stonecuts and stencils.
