Note: Once there was a blind boy who lived with a cruel mother. She would not share food with him and made him sleep with the dogs. One day at the flow edge he met a loon who told him to hang onto its neck as he pulled him through the water keeping his eyes open. When he came out of the water he could see. He returned to the tent and did not tell his mother he could see. Instead he had her lead him to the flow edge to spear a whale, where he tied the rope to her waist and the whale dragged her out to sea.
