Martha Tickiq is a multidisciplinary artist from Baker Lake. She creates both carvings and wall hangings. Tickiq is one of the only female Inuit sculptors working with the hard basalt stone found in the Baker Lake area after learning to carve at a young age from her grandfather. She is best known for her depictions of Muskoxen and scenes depicting mothers with their children.
Tickiq has exhibited her work across Canada and the United States.
