Peter Segova was an artist in Baker Lake born in 1940. He is known for working in the traditional Baker Lake style using materials such as basalt stone local to the area. He was a prolific carver who became well known by his early 20s. 

He is known for his depictions of mothers and children, Muskoxen, and Bears. In 1965, he was part of an experimental printing workshop in Baker Lake working as both an artist and a printmaker. 

His half brother, Thomas Segova, is also a well known Baker Lake carver. Peter Segova passed away in 2007.
