Bio: 

Frank Charlie was born in 1952 in Port Renfrew and is a member of the Tla-o-qui-aht nation of the Nuu-chah-nulth people. In 1974, he inherited the name “Kwya Tseek Tchuss Miyuh” (White Wolf) from his grandfather during a pole raising ceremony at the World’s Fair in Spokane, Washington. 

Charlie lived among the Clayoquot people at the village of Opitsaht on the west coast of Vancouver Island. Charlie has depicted the different aspects of the Clayoquot culture and is known for his carvings and paintings, many done on drums and panels.
