An Inuit Perspective Marie Bouchard 2000 "Angatajuak learned to carve while working at the nickel mine in Rankin Inlet. His carvings somewhat resemble those of the Rankin Inlet carver John Tiktaq, whom he knew well. This couple is a good example of Tiktaq's influence, especially the way Angatjuak has carved openings for the arms on both figures and a rounded opening for the man's legs. He had his own special way of carving faces." ----------- Community: Clyde River Sculpture Joseph's son, Basil Kiblakoot and his daughter Ruby Doobelak Angatajuak are carvers in Rankin Inlet. His work is included in many major collections of Inuit art including the Winnipeg Art Gallery, the Musee des beaux-arts de Montreal, Quebec and the Canadian Museum Of Civilization in Hull, Quebec.
