Qaumajuq, a new museum dedicated to the research, exhibition, and creation of Inuit art, opened in Spring 2021 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. It boasts the world's largest collection of contemporary Inuit art. According to Laura Beach, the backdrop to this event comprises "a new chapter in Inuit art, a term encompassing an increasingly diverse body of work by natives of a far-flung, circumpolar landscape."
