Kaia MacLeod, the Indigenous intern at the University of Alberta libraries and a member of the James Smith Cree Nation, has created a set of 3D-printed Cree syllabics as a project that became part of her master's program in library and information studies. The kit includes syllabics, spirit markers, and several accents, and is available to borrow from the library. "Like the development of language learning apps, Indigenous people are finding different ways to reach their young learners in hopes they carry the language on."
